I must admit I have trust issues. At times it can be a real problem, especially when dealing with an investment like the Iraqi dinar. I am not the only one who has these issues. It seems that many in the community has the very same trust issues that I have.
I have a pretty good wall of defense. I weigh everything people say and place it against my world view to see if it will hold up. My world view is based on the education I received and my personal research. At this stage in my life there is a pretty strong defense mechanism in place, but it is not without its vulnerabilities.
When someone comes to me and says that they are a Christian that slightly lowers my defenses, and I trust them more than I should. If they quote scripture I lower my defenses even more. If they pray then I trust them more. If they do all three things then I have a really big tendency to completely trust them, and my defense mechanism is totally shut down. And that my friend is my issue!
There is a common bond between Christians that people who are not of faith can’t understand. Sometimes that bond serves to remove all our defenses and the so-called Christian person gains complete trust. I think this is one reason that the bible makes a comparison of Christians to sheep. As believers in Christ we tend to totally trust other Christians without verifying anything they say.
This can have tragic results. I have learned the hard way that you don’t automatically trust someone just because they have a fish on their business card. In fact those people should be held to an even higher standard, but I can’t help it. I always find myself giving Christians the benefit of the doubt. I tend to equate my trust in God with my trust in fellow Christians such as myself. It is more of a reflex than anything else. We as Christians do this on a subconscious level and we rise to defend other Christians as a result. If you are not a Christian than you cannot even begin to understand this type of behavior. It is as though you are defending a close family member like a brother or a sister.
But the bible warns us of explicit trust in other people that we don’t even know. Mathew chapter 7 says
15“Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves. 16You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. Can you pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit. 18A good tree can’t produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit. 19So every tree that does not produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire. 20Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions. NIV version
So you see we are supposed to judge people by what they do not what they say. There are people who pretend to be Christians in an effort to gain the trust of other Christians. They may be a wolf wearing a disguise that is designed to get you to lower your defenses. Then they can move in for the kill. We are to observe their actions. We will know who they are by what they do, not what they say. A wolf does not walk like a sheep even though he may be disguised as one.
As I have been a part of the dinar community for the past 4 years I have observed many gurus who claim to be Christians. These guys quote scripture and pray but in the end they are not being truthful about their background or who they are. They pretend in order to get you to accept their latest line of Bull! They make money off of conning Christians into buying dinar. They keep these Christians on the hook as long as they can. they quote scripture, pray, and may even bring up bible prophecy from time to time. They are full of deceit and lies. There is no truth in them.
Matt 9:36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. NIV
That is exactly what the dinar community is! All these wolves (GURUS) who are hungry and all these sheep who are dinner. But we wind up defending certain wolves because they look like a sheep! But watch them. They don’t act like sheep! If it does not walk like a sheep than Brother Chances are that is not a sheep!
Matt 10:16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. KJV
To be wise means to have understanding of people and situations, To have keen and unusual discernment, and a capacity for sound judgment in dealing with people and situations. Harmless may mean to be harmless in effect or intention. Inoffensive means to be giving no provocation. Doves are not called the birds of peace for no reason. Don’t get these instructions backward! You want to get this in the right order. Use discernment of the situation first. Then operate in grace and forgiveness. Pray for those wolves in the dinar forums dressed up like sheep. A dove is not necessarily the sharpest knife in the drawer if you know what I mean.
Use discernment, warn other sheep, but do no harm!
James 3:1 Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.
I wish I had thought of this scripture before I started this stupid dinar blog! To be honest that is why I brought Iraq Currency Watch Back after it was shut down. It was out of the fear of what I had done in ignorance and the judgment that awaited me for those actions. The wrong things I believed and taught about the dinar would be my undoing. That is why I will fight to get the truth out there. That is why I brought this blog back.
If a wolf is teaching something that he knows is not true than God will judge him more harshly than a wolf operating in ignorance. If someone believes the dinar will revalue and they teach others they will be held to a higher standard. This is why you are to be harmless as a dove. These people are already in enough trouble! Yes they need to be exposed. But they need to repent even more than that!
So if you see someone who claims to be a Christian and they say things that are false. If it is pretty obvious that they made these things up, then chances are this person is a wolf in sheep’s clothing looking to make a meal of you. Remember to use discernment regarding situations and with people you meet, Use discernment when you read articles from Christians in the dinar community. but most of all remember this one important thing. Trust is never freely given. It is earned!
My new motto is verify before you take action. Do this regardless of any feelings to willfully trust anyone.
The sense of reality is what most investors in the Dinar lose… They would like to think that Dreams are Reality and that Reality is distasteful… They clearly confuse the two things! Reality dictates that “Changes to any current status being experienced, can vary depending upon the elements that get interjected into the situation!” …
(IE: DREAMS are the substance of our inward desires and fears, manifest into thought that seems real to us, but is merely the sum of thoughts created within our minds… REALITY is the sum of events that are, or could be, within our control, or situations that we are cast into, that are totally out of our control, and we can do nothing to change them but endure the compilation of events that we are cast into!)
The point that I am making here is that most Dinar Investors do not have any concern of the Reality within the situation, they merely desire to experience the Dreams that they desire to be reality within their minds!
I have spoken verbally with thousands of Dinarians directly, not just responding to blogs or chatting in some room full of typing faceless chat handles delivering their textual words of wisdom. I feel that Dinarians are a strange breed of individual that loses reality because of being overcome by their desired dream.
They do not want to know the truth, they do not want their bubble burst, they have forgotten of have lost all sense of well being and ill-fatefully trust in the words of faceless prophets that intentionally misguide them into a stronger lack of reality. They sacrifice their families quality of life for a dream that all odds are against, that all proven fact and historical truth goes against, they have faith that their dreams will become reality, the reality that they want it to be, the reality that their dreams have generated within their minds!
This is dangerous in my opinion, this is not prudent to believe as a rational course of action to plot your future and your families future to experience.
When Dinarians (the ones i claim have ingested the mis-information of false prophets), get their week does of lies and deception bestowed upon them by the Guru’s, they reach a level of consciousness I have termed as “Hopium”… and this HOPIUM overwhelms them to the point that they will not believe anything anyone ever could try to educate them with, even if it is the God’s Truth!
When Dinarians are in this state of being, nothing can change the way they think, their dreams are the most substantial thing that they will accept…
So i think it is not a matter of trust, a mis-guided flock led to be slaughtered, or even an illness experienced by the temporarily insane… I think that is their innermost desires being unleashed and these mask all sense of reality. The dreams become far more important, their sense of right and wrong is transformed into hopes and desires, they refuse to admit that they might have been duped by someone, and as such they refuse to admit that the true reality might be worse than the dreams that have been planted in their minds by the evil prophets of mis-information!
This is the sad fact of the situation, this is the fate that they will be forced to experience, this is the reality that they themselves have created because of their own lack of common sense, the same common sense that they had prior to this dinar investment, the same common sense that was most likely breed into their person by their parents, the same common sense that someday will return, when they finally realize that all of this time they have been being deceived with mis-information… but by this time, it will be too late, and now they will be forced into living a reality that they could have avoided, if they would have merely utilized common sense and thought twice before over dosing on HOPIUM….
Wisdom is the end result of experience, and utilizing facts, wisdom’s, experiences, and undeniable truths presented by others, others that have walked this path, found out the real truth of the situation, and are willing to share this experience with others selflessly… If dinarians would simply travel thru their reality with an open mind, utilizing the trust but verify method of truth, they could experience their dreams without the fate experienced by those that refuse to believe anything from anyone that has an adverse opinion of their dreams that have overcome their lives…
SO when it comes to “TRUST ISSUES”, I say… “TRUST, BUT VERIFY”, and when common sense gets omited from the equation… then dangerous things can manifest into reality…
PLEASE BE SAFE, Never give up dreaming, never sacrifice your families quality of life for the mis-information of those that benefit from your mis-givings… and when it comes to utilizing HOPIUM for converting DREAMS into REALITY…. I say… NEVER SURRENDER…!
I hope you learn from my experience, and consider my wisdom’s, as I am the:
Beckenor of Truth, Beseecher of Common Sense, Benefactor of Wisdoms, The Bestower of Hope… !!!
BEST WISHES,
Daniel

While your description of dinar investors certainly covers a lot of people that I have met, Not everyone can fit into this mold. Some people purchased the dinar because they were pressured to do so by family members or friends. These type of people buy a small amount and then go on with their life. They don’t follow the so-called investment everyday and they don’t hang on every word Gurus say, They don’t hang out in dinar forums or even read blogs. Their information comes totally from their friends and relatives
Then there are those who purchased the dinar without any real research at all. They are similar to the other group I mentioned, but these people realize shortly after they got involved that the whole thing was a hoax. They get out as soon as they can.
Then there are those who listen to people who claimed to be christian (this was my category) all there facts came from the dinar forum. (these are known as forum facts) These are things like the kuwaiti revalue. There is no truth to them, but they believe them because of the lack of research. They have no real idea how currency works. They don’t typically invest in other things and the dinar is their first independent investment. They research very little and they take the word of leaders who claim to be christian over anyone else. Then one day they discover the truth and it really blows them away. In the end they wind up feeling stupid. these are the people the post was addressing.
Then there are the people that you describe and there are a lot of them. They make up the majority of the community. These guys typically will not listen to reason because of the Hopium you described. To them everything is emotional and any rational thought is a negative action. I myself have dealt with these kind of investors all to often. They use to follow this blog but now they are the ones who call me crazy. They think I lost my mind.
I do think that it is important that we don’t confuse hopium (false hope) with real hope that is described in the bible as being a part of faith. Proverbs 13:12 says “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.”
Anyone who tends to stay in this community for very long becomes a victim of false hope. All rational and reason leaves them. This tends to make their heart sick. This is why they become angry when someone speaks the truth, emotion takes over. Hopium is not a drug it is a sickness. it is not limited to the dinar community. It is tied into peoples world views and their belief systems as well. The only cure is the truth. The truth is the only thing that will set anyone free. This is why we must value truth above all else!
